So Autumn is upon us and vegetables and dishes are changing to match the season where we tend to eat more warming comfort food choices.
What’s dishes are we more likely to eat?
Warm wholesome soups and broths such as mushroom soup, cabbage & white bean soup, french onion soup, chicken broth and minestrone.
Main dishes include beef stews, pork casseroles, mushrooms tarts.
Our vegetable choices might include root vegetables such as carrots, squashes, pumpkin, and sweet potatoes.
Our staple green vegetables would include broccoli, spinach, kale, celery, rocket and artichokes.
Our sweeter fruitier choices might be apples, pomegranates, citrus fruits, and pears.
For our deserts a tasty pumpkin pie is a good autumn dish or alternatively apple cakes and fruit crumbles.
